First Steps in Counseling
Thank you for considering beginning counseling at Diversified Counseling and Consulting Services!
We realize this may be your first experience with therapy and understand this can seem very intimidating. We will outline the first steps you can expect below to make this as easy as possible for you.
First, please call our office. We won't take any insurance or sensitive information through this site or through email due to HIPAA compliance policies. We truly respect your privacy and will do nothing to jeopardize that.
When you call our office we will ask some basic questions. They are as follows
-

-
Insurance carrier, policy holder, insurance enrollee number and group number
-
The basic reason you'd like to see a therapist, examples are anxiety, depression, grief, coping skills
Our billing office will verify your benefits. We also suggest that each individual contact your customer service department, the number is found on the back of the insurance card. Request the benefit coverage for behavior health outpatient. It is always good to be informed.
We will do our best to identify a therapist that best meets each individuals needs.
We do have a cancellation/reschedule policy.
-
Reschedule-changing your appointment to another day or time within the same calendar week. There is no charge for this.
